Subject: For all new projects, continuing reviews, and changes submitted to the University’s REC, all research team members must possess a certificate of completion for “6 hours of research ethics (REC) or human subject research (IRB) training within the past 2 years” (within 2 years retroactive from the submission date). (Including any new research team members added through a change)
Description: There are 3 options for obtaining research ethics (REC/IRB) training. Research teams are reminded to plan ahead to complete training according to their needs.
I. Participate in on-campus training ※ On-campus training webpage: The University’s REC Homepage/Training/The University
The Research Ethics Committee organizes 2–3 research ethics courses per semester in principle, each lasting at least 3 hours (free of charge for faculty members and students of the University).
II. Participate in off-campus training ※ Off-campus training webpage: The University’s REC Homepage/Training/Off-Campus
Information on research ethics/human subject research training organized by external research ethics units is available; please register with the organizer to participate.
III. Online training: Recognized online courses approved by the University’s Research Ethics Review Committee are available on the homepage of this website.
